As noted earlier – in thinking about the state of Canada’s finances and the economy, it became clear that as difficult as I found it to comprehend it was possible, even likely, that Stephen Harper and the Conservatives in fact see themselves as doing a good job – telling themselves that Canada’s finances and economy would be in much worse shape under any other party’s management.
You know how horribly the Conservatives have mismanaged Canada’s finances and the economy when they start claiming they reduced Canada’s deficit by $37 billion when the federal debt was $482 billion when the Conservatives became the government of Canada and has risen to $612 billion during the period Harper and the Conservatives have been the government of Canada.
None of the parties or their leaders vying to be chosen to form the next government of Canada have addressed what I consider major issues that require addressing NOW if we want to deal with these issues in a planned and thoughtful manner.
Ahhhhhh – it’s just Abbotsford’s mayor and council one again rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
I see Abbotsford’s housing coordinator, Ms. Dena Kae Beno, is ensuring that the City of Abbotsford continues to generates a plethora of pointless BLAH, BLAH, BLAH about homelessness as Abbotsford presented the all day Regional Forum on Housing First Best Practices on Thursday, October 15, 2015..
